Our Story Pryntsev Ballet Academy was founded in 2020 by Ivan Pryntsev, a professional ballet dancer and educator with a vision to bring authentic Vaganova-based ballet training to South Orange County. What began as a school dedicated to building strong technical foundations and artistic excellence has grown into something much greater—a welcoming community where students of every age and aspiration can discover the transformative power of dance. Built on the internationally respected Vaganova Method, our programs provide a clear pathway from recreational classes to pre-professional training. Whether a student is taking their very first class, dancing for enjoyment, or pursuing a professional career, every journey is guided with the same commitment to excellence, discipline, artistry, and care. Over the years, our students have earned placements, scholarships, and invitations to some of the world's most respected ballet institutions, including the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), Paris Opera Ballet School, The Royal Ballet School, and the Vaganova Ballet Academy Summer Intensive. These achievements reflect not only exceptional training, but also the dedication of our students, families, and faculty. As our academy continued to grow, so did our vision. We realized that while excellence would always remain at the heart of PBA, dance itself should never be limited to only those pursuing a professional career.
