Recreational Dance Program

Our Recreational Program welcomes ALL students (audition not required) to receive excellent instruction from one of the top Russian Vaganova Ballet schools in Orange County, CA.

Our goal is to enhance the love and joy of dance to each and every individual student, and to provide quality structured training for all who desire excellence in dance.

Classes in Ballet, Contemporary, and Pilates. Each level is structured to offer beginners and seasoned dancers a fun and challenging class.

Recreational Program dancers are welcome to take as many or as few classes as they desire.

Contemporary Dance & Pilates

Fundamentals of Contemporary Dance – Develop basic technique and express their individual style.
Schedule:
Monday 5:30-6:30p
Saturday 10:30-11:30am
This level is designed to train the low intermediate level dancer to execute more difficult turns, leaps, and other technical movements. The class will focus on isolations, pirouettes, axel turns, grand jeté leaps, (front and 2nd), piqué turns and more complicated footwork and combinations.

Pilates is a strengthening and conditioning technique. Focusing on the core strength, this is extremely beneficial to the dancers to build technique and range of movement. Further the dancers will increase injury prevention.

Pilates II - Saturday 1:00-2:00p

Ballet Dance

The emphasis in these classes is on musicality, creativity, coordination and building a love of dance, preparing the child well for the time when he or she is physically and mentally at the age to begin formal training.

The benefits of learning ballet include development of good posture and correct placement, coordination, self-discipline while improving dance technique and musicality.

Building further the technical abilities, intricate combinations and steps are used to grow the dancers’ abilities in ballet. Dancing with expression and strong port de bras. Students are expected to bring strong maturity and discipline as they will be in class with post-professional dancers.
