Olivia Song Places Top 12 in Contemporary Solo at YAGP San Diego Semi-Final
We are proud to share that Olivia Song placed Top 12 in Contemporary Solo (Pre-Competitive Division) at the YAGP San Diego Semi-Final Competition. Competing at Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), one of the most prestigious ballet competitions in the world, is an accomplishment in itself. Earning a Top 12 placement reflects not only strong performance quality, but the discipline, consistency, and preparation required to stand out among talented dancers from across the region.
Olivia’s achievement is the result of focused training and dedicated coaching at Prynstev Ballet Academy (PBA). While YAGP is widely recognized for classical ballet, the contemporary category demands versatility, control, artistry, and emotional depth. At PBA, dancers are trained with a strong classical foundation while also developing musicality, strength, and expressive range — all essential qualities for contemporary performance. Olivia’s Top 12 placement demonstrates the value of structured technique, detailed corrections, and individualized guidance that prepare our students for high-level competitive stages.
As a leading ballet academy in Orange County, PBA is committed to developing dancers who are prepared not only to compete, but to grow through meaningful performance opportunities. Olivia’s success at the YAGP San Diego Semi-Final reflects her hard work and the strength of the training environment that supports her development. We congratulate Olivia on this milestone and look forward to continuing to guide her artistic journey in the seasons ahead.
